Everything seemed to start out well that
day. I took some photos of the classic car procession that went
right by our booth (little did we know about the problems brewing
regarding all the trouble with the Michelin tires over the weekend) |

Working at our booth at the Indianapolis Motor
Speedway
For anyone attending any of the three races held at IMS, we are in
booth 101, which is located outside of Turn 2, it is the one closest to
the Brickyard Crossing motel. Part of the proceeds for any purchases of
official merchandise made at our booth go to scholarship recipients |

Police arriving at the track, some in riot gear, to
control the crowd in the event of trouble. Other than some angry
fans near the administration building and the Pagoda plaza, there was
thankfully not any major problems. Mainly, I saw upset fans leave in
disgust, but no outbursts of any kind. |

start of the race were quickly vacant! |

In the aftermath of the debacle, the
Indianapolis Motor Speedway rightly makes their feelings clear:
"We are disappointed too" |

At
GrandPrix.com, there is a photo of a billboard that the IMS had put up
for a few weeks across from the administration building entrance at the
corner of 16th, Georgetown & Crawfordsville Roads |
