RIVERSIDE REPTILE RANCH
Stanton, Missouri
Owned by Bill Fitzgerald, one of the founding members of the St. Louis Herpetological
Society.
There is a collection of Missouri snakes from the largest, the Bullsnake, to an exhibit of
Missouri venomous snakes. Visitors may view pythons, rattlesnakes, boas, cobras and
various vipers including a beautiful Golden Eyelash Viper and deadly Gaboon Vipers and
Puff Adders.
I visited the Riverside Reptile Ranch on three occasions, and each time they
have expanded and improved - I really recommend you stop there if you are ever
in the area! I have included pictures from all three visits below.

The Riverside Reptile Ranch has really expanded. They have a much bigger
outdoor area with more animals, including white foxes, emus, goats, large
rabbits and turtles - and of course they still have Leo, who is very big now -
all 600 pounds of him!
Inside, they still have a wide variety of snakes, alligators, scorpions,
tarantulas, lizards and other creepy inhabitants. Amber managed to be
brave enough to hold an alligator and a python. I just couldn't hold the
python, but they somehow coaxed me into holding an alligator!
