And Oklahoma City looks mighty pretty
You'll see Amarillo, Gallup, New Mexico

Kingman, Barstow, San Bernardino

Won't you get hip to this timely tip
When you make that California trip
Get your kicks on Route 66

Welcome to our website for our fabulous trip on historic Route 66!  We really did "get our kicks on Route 66!" It is a wonderful journey I believe anyone would enjoy taking!

I have two purposes for this site. The first is to share my experience and photos on Route 66, and the second is to share my planning information and resources for others who may also wish to embark on a journey down Route 66.  This will not be an all-encompassing informational site on Route 66, but rather I will share and refer you to the information I researched, as well as my experience on the road, which I hope will be of assistance
should you decide to make the trip yourself!  When possible, I will add updated Route 66 information/news.  The trip narrative is located below;  all resources, links and information is located back on the home page.

This site is quite comprehensive with many photos (including both scans of actual photos, as well as screen captures from our videotapes).  For ease of navigation around the travelogue section, I have broken down the trip into separate pages for each state, and have an index below so that you can view the sections you wish in any order, at your own pace.  This way, you are not forced to view all photos from page to page in a specific order.  Each state page describes our trip on the Route and cities/towns in that state. Any attractions and/or cities which are detailed with more photos, have their own pages listed under the state in which they are located.  To minimize page loading times, and to enable you to choose to view only those photos of interest to you, all photos are either thumbnail links and or text links.
